How Turmeric Kills Cancer Cells ( Video)

The most world-wide spread disease nowadays is cancer. However there are some alternative solutions that can help you treat the cancer and there are chances that the effect will not be so destructive. One of those alternative solutions is using turmeric.

Turmeric is mostly used in Asian dishes for giving special flavor to the food. It belongs to the same family as the ginger root and it has a lot of health benefits.

25 patients were put through a clinical trial and were treated with turmeric. They were having pre-cancerous changes in their organs and the active ingredient in turmeric known as curcumin prevented the pre-cancerous changes to become cancer.

This ingredient is a powerful antioxidant and it helps the protection of the body’s cells from molecules that are known as free radicals and can damage the cells.

According to several studies the curcumin obstructs several significant molecular pathways that cause the development of cancer and its enlargement and spreading.

Researchers have reported turmeric to inhibit the formation of cancer-causing enzymes.

“In learning the molecular biology of cancer pathways, and in learning that what the evidence actually shows the effect of natural product extracts on various relevant molecular targets in various cancers, we see that there’s actually quite a large amount of evidence that supports using various molecules, natural products, and pharmaceuticals that are already approved and that have been around for a long time to affect anti-cancer activity along that pathway at that target. That’s called molecularly targeted anti-cancer treatment, and it’s widely practiced in oncology today. What’s not widely practiced is the use of the natural products for the molecularly targeted anti-cancer activity. I provide that for my patients because the evidence base suggests and supports the use of these treatment recommendations.”

10 Unexpected Side Effects Of Graviola

If you have heard of Graviola, then you must be aware of the plethora of benefits it offers! The plant, which has gained popularity as a miracle remedy for cancer, does cure a lot many other ailments as well.

But then, you might not know that Graviola has certain side effects also. And just like any other ingredient out there, some of the side effects of Graviola can be fatal. Though its effectiveness is yet to be proved, people are still embracing this alternative treatment plan without knowing its side effects.

Want to know what the side effects of Graviola are?

What Is Graviola?

Graviola, or soursop is a broadleaf, flowering perennial tree native to Mexico, Cuba, and Central America. All its parts, including the leaves, fruit, and even the stem are used to make medicines. It belongs to the custard apple family but has a citrus flavor. It is said to be a cross between pineapple and strawberry.

The benefits of Graviola include treatment of bacterial infection, parasitic infection, cough, inflammation of nose and throat, herpes, induction of vomiting and even curing cancer. The effectiveness of this fruit on these diseases lacks scientific proof. But we know for sure that Graviola has plenty of side effects!

Graviola Side Effects:
Still confused?
Check out these Graviola side effects before you decide to use it:

1. Can Cause Parkinson’s Disease:
The supporters of soursop say that the annonaceous acetogenins present in it can help combat the cancer cells since they may “potentially” have chemotherapeutic effects. However, a study published by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center warns against it use. The study states “alkaloids extracted from Graviola may cause neuronal dysfunction and degeneration leading to symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.”

2. Can Lead To Low Blood Pressure:
Graviola also causes dilation of blood vessels and low blood pressure. Although this is beneficial for those with high blood pressure, those without hypertension should be careful while taking this fruit.

3. Can Lead To Poisoning:
Graviola bark contains anonaine and anoniine, which are high in hydrocyanic acid. It is a colorless substance, which is considered poisonous.

4. Causes Nausea:
Consumption of large amounts of Graviola can cause sedation, nausea and vomiting

5. Danger Of Toxicity:
The consumption of Graviola leaves as herbal teas can also cause toxicity.

6. Drug Interaction:
Avoid the use of Graviola if you are taking anti-hypertensive, vasodilators, cardiac depressant drugs, anti-depressants or MAO inhibitors. The effect of the fruit can either increase or decrease the effect of these drugs.

7. Kills Good Bacteria:
Long-term use of Graviola can kill the useful bacteria in the digestive tract.

8. Can Cause Miscarriage:
Graviola consumption should be avoided by pregnant women as it can cause premature uterine contractions.

9. Causes Constipation:
A concoction of Graviola is used to treat dysentery. If ingested by those without dysentery, it can cause constipation and dehydration.

10. Works As A Hallucinogen:
Those who consume large amounts of Graviola not only experience nerve changes, but also suffer from hallucinations. Now, hallucinations aren’t something that you want, do you?

The bottom line is that Graviola may indeed be a miracle remedy for numerous ailments. But it is yet to be approved by any known scientific research center. It may take years of trials before accepting it as a mainstream cure for any disease. Be sure to understand the risks before you decide to use this fruit as a natural remedy for any disease. Better to be safe than sorry, right?

8 Nutritional Benefits Of Jalapeno Pepper

Did you know that eating Jalapeno Peppers can help you keep cancer at bay? And how much aware are you of the fact that these foods offer other amazing health benefits? As incredible as it may sound, jalapeno peppers are rich in many nutrients that make them vital for curing and preventing an entire array of diseases.

Would you like to know the many benefits of jalapeno peppers?

1. Nutrient Rich:
Jalapeno peppers are crammed with essential nutrients like vitamin C, which is a potent water-soluble antioxidant. It helps stimulate and create collagen, the main structural protein of your body. Collagen is necessary for maintaining the integrity of blood vessels, tissues, skin and bones. A diet rich in vitamin C boosts immunity and purges the body of cancer-causing free radicals. It also helps prevent deficiency diseases like scurvy.

Jalapeno peppers are also good sources of antioxidants like Vitamin A and flavonoids like lutein, beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, zea xanthin and cryptoxanthin. These substances help protect your body from cancer-causing free radicals and help reduce pigmentation and remove acne (1).

2. Analgesic:
Jalapeno Peppers contain this effective compound called capsaicin. Capsaicin has many health benefits and jalapeno peppers get their analgesic properties because of their presence (2).

3. Anti-Inflammatory:
Jalapeno peppers also help ease inflammatory conditions like bronchitis and rheumatic pain. They are especially effective anti-inflammatory agents and they owe much of their anti-inflammatory properties to capsaicin again (3).

4. Anti-Carcinogenic:
Cancer is one of the deadliest diseases today, and many people succumb to it every year. And jalapeno peppers can stop you from becoming one of  them. These peppers contain many phytochemical compounds, which are known to have disease-fighting, disease-preventing, and even anti-carcinogenic properties. Capsaicin, another important compound present in jalapeno peppers, also helps fight cancer and eliminates cancerous cells (4).

5. Antibacterial:
Capsaicin is the star of the show again. It has proven antibacterial properties, which make it an effective agent for reducing and eliminating bacterial infections like staphylococci and diarrhea (5).

6. Antifungal/Antimicrobial:
Capsaicin also has antimicrobial properties and a study conducted found that capsaicin helped affect a 1/200 change in microbe levels of a yeast infection (6).

7. Promote Healthy Lipid Profiles:
Jalapeno peppers act as a thinning agent and help dissolve complex proteins like fibrin. Fibrin is an insoluble protein whose build-up can lead to blood clots in the blood vessels. These blood clots can lead to blood pressure spikes and many arterial conditions like clogged arteries and even affect stroke or myocardial infractions (MIs).Organic peppers help dissolve this fibrin.

8. Reduces LDL Cholesterol:
Cholesterol is a problem most of us face. Despite using medications, sometimes we don’t see the desired results. This is where jalapeno peppers come into the picture. Just like the many other kinds of peppers, Jalapeno peppers too play a role in purging your body of the bad LDL cholesterol (7).

Jalapeno peppers might be a nutritional powerhouse and have many benefits. But there are a few things to be kept in mind before consuming them. Eating too many jalapeno peppers might lead to acid reflux due to the presence of capsaicin. This can even lead to heartburn or nausea (8).

Warnings:

Once you have too many jalapenos and your mouth catches fire, the best thing to do is consume something absorbent, like bread or tofu. Although you would be tempted to drink water, remember that this will only hasten the capsaicin’s journey to your stomach. Be careful with the amount of jalapenos you consume.

Now that you know about jalapeno peppers, why wait! Include these amazing foods in your diet and feel the difference. Tell us about any special or unique jalapeno pepper recipes here. Leave a comment below.
